SALEM, Ore.—The Fish and Wildlife Commission will meet Friday, Jan. 26 from 2-4 p.m. to approve a recruitment plan for a new ODFW director.
The plan was first discussed at the Jan. 12 meeting. Longtime director Curt Melcher will retire in April 2024.
Virtual public testimony will be taken; register no later than Thursday, Jan. 25 at 2:00 PM. using the link found on the meeting agenda page.

A public forum to include a Q&A with final candidates is expected to occur later in spring before the Commission votes on a new director.
