SALEM, Ore.—Oregon's Fish Screening Task Force will meet virtually Friday, June 5 via Skype. The meeting will begin at 9:00 am and is expected to conclude by noon.
This meeting is open to the public and members of the public who are interested in viewing it can access it at https://meet.coho2.dfw.state.or.us/lisa.m.kingsley/PF5D0JCW
The agenda includes a request by the Joint Water Commission for an exemption from fish screening requirements for their Springhill intake on the Tualatin River. A mitigation package is proposed in lieu of screening this intake. Details on this project and the proposed mitigation package can be found on the ODFW website at https://www.dfw.state.or.us/fish/screening/task_force.asp
The Fish Screening Task Force will be asked to make a recommendation to the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission on this request. The public is encouraged to provide written comments for consideration by this task force in forming their recommendation. Comments can be emailed to Alan.D.Ritchery@odfw.oregon.gov until June 4 at 5:00 pm. This proposal is expected to go before the Commission later this year for a final decision. The public will have an additional opportunity to comment through the Commission process.
