SALEM, Ore.—ODFW will host two open houses this month about the Riverside Wildlife Area’s Management Plan.
The Plan was first adopted in 2009 and is due for a 10-year review. ODFW staff will answer any questions about the wildlife area and take comments from the public about what to include in the updated Plan. No major changes to the Plan are currently proposed by ODFW staff.
The open houses are scheduled for:
- Wednesday, May 15, 12-6 p.m., Malheur District Office, 3814 Clark Boulevard, Ontario
- Tuesday, May 21, 12-6 p.m. at the Hines District Office, 237 Highway 20 South, Hines
Riverside Wildlife Area is a remote 3,798-acre wildlife area near Juntura that offers public fishing, hunting and wildlife viewing access in the Malheur River Canyon. Bighorn sheep, mule deer and chukar are some of the species found, find out more at the Visitor Guide
