SALEM, Ore.—The Access and Habitat Board will meet July 22-23. Monday’s meeting will be a field of the Wendling Travel Management Area in the Springfield area and Tuesday’s will be a board meeting at ODFW HQ (3406 Cherry Ave NE, Salem).
Tuesday’s board meeting begins at 8 a.m. and is open to the public. Its agenda includes a budget report, legislative update, and regional council appointments. The distribution of auction tags will also be decided. An opportunity for public comment is scheduled for 9 a.m.
The field tour on Monday is also open to the public. To join it, be at the Coburg Pizza Company (1710 Centennial Blvd, Springfield) by 1 p.m. on Monday, July 22. Members of the public need to drive their own vehicle on the tour.
The A&H Program funds projects that provide hunter access and/or improve wildlife habitat on private land in Oregon. The A&H Program is funded primarily by a $4 surcharge on hunting licenses and big game auction and raffle tag sales.
