Ocean salmon landmarks and regulatory boundaries

The following list  of landmarks and regulatory boundaries are or have been used in ocean salmon fishing seasons and may affect Oregon anglers directly. Some of the listed landmarks are not currently in use. Generally, regulations note a specific landmark, and the management/regulatory line is an East-West line of latitude from that landmark.

Leadbetter Pt., WA 46°38'10" N. lat. Standard fishery area boundary line and regulatory line (currently in use).
Tillamook Head, OR 45°56'30" N. lat. Has been used as regulation boundary in prior years (not in use at this time).
Cape Falcon, OR 45°46'00" N. lat. Standard fishery area boundary line and regulatory line (currently in use).
Twin Rocks (Tillamook), OR 45°35'54" N. lat. Current Northern boundary for Tillamook state waters fishery.
Pyramid Rock 45°29'48" N. lat. Current Southern boundary for Tillamook state waters fishery.
Cape Lookout 45°20'30" N. lat. Current Northern boundary for Nestucca fall chinook troll state waters fishery.
Cape Kiwanda 45°13'00" N. lat. Former Northern boundary for Nestucca fall chinook troll state waters fishery (not in use at this time).
Neskowin Creek 45°06'00" N. lat. Current Southern boundary for Nestucca fall chinook troll state waters fishery.
Cascade Head, OR 45°03'50" N. lat. Fishery area boundary.  Not currently in use for season structure.
Cape Perpetua, OR 44°17'30" N. lat. Not currently in use.
Heceta Head, OR 44°08'18" N. lat. Former fishery area boundary (revised to S. end of Heceta Bank in 2018). Former Northern boundary for Siuslaw fall chinook troll state waters fishery.
Florence South Jetty, OR 44°00'54" N. lat. Was in use most recently in 2017 as a boundary for commercial troll salmon, and previously for recreational halibut fisheries. Not currently in use.
South End Heceta Bank 43°58'00" N. lat. Fishery area boundary between Newport and Coos Bay Ocean Salmon Catch Areas (adopted 2018).
Cape Arago, OR 43°18'20" N. lat. Southern boundary for Coos fall chinook troll state waters fishery..
Cape Blanco, OR 42°50'20" N. lat. Current Northern boundary for Elk River state waters fishery.
Humbug Mt., OR 42°40'30" N. lat. Standard fishery area boundary line and regulatory line (currently in use).  Also current Southern boundary for Elk River state waters fishery.
Sisters Rocks, OR 42°35'45" N. lat. Not currently in use.
Mack Arch, OR 42°13'40" N. lat. Not currently in use.
House Rock, OR 42°06'32" N. lat. Not currently in use.
Twin Rocks (Brookings), OR 42°05'36" N. lat. Current Northern boundary for Chetco River state waters fishery.
Chetco Pt., OR 42°02'35" N. lat. Not currently in use.
Oregon/California Border 42°00'00" N. lat. Currently used as management line for commercial troll and recreational salmon.
Point St. George, CA 41°46'50" N. lat. Fishery area boundary.  Not currently in use for season structure.
Horse Mt., CA 40°05'00" N. lat. Standard fishery area boundary line and regulatory line (currently in use).
