The Rogue Watershed Resiliency focal area is an excellent example of a diverse group of entities with differing interests and perspectives coming together to tackle the issue of water quality and quantity. ODFW staff convened the Rogue Watershed Resiliency Initiative because of being a water conservation priority Basin and identified as a focal area for IIJA funds. Watershed Councils, NGOs, county governments, and the Medford Water Commission have become active participants in the group and have put substantial effort into identifying overlapping priorities and combining efforts to leverage their varying areas expertise and resources to improve their chances of success in bringing IIJA funds into the Rogue Watershed. They have worked collaboratively to develop a pipeline of projects, identifying partner leads, match sources, and using the support of partners to strengthen their projects.
