Ladd Marsh Bird Festival, La Grande, May 17, 18 and 19

It’s fun, friendly and free. Come to La Grande for an exciting birdwatching experience. The Bird Festival occurs during the height of spring bird migration and nesting time in the Grande Ronde Valley and gives you a chance to see species you may never have seen.

Apply for a controlled hunt by May 15

May 15 is the deadline to apply for limited entry fall big game hunts. You can apply online, at a license sales agent, at ODFW offices that sell licenses, or by mail or fax order using the application (pdf) or on page 17 of the 2013 Oregon Big Game Regulations.

Point savers available July 1 – Nov. 30

If you have procrastinated on applying for a controlled hunt and only need a point saver, remember you can now get point savers from July 1 – November 30. This started last year to enable hunters to spread the cost of licenses throughout the year. The form needed to get a point saver will be available online by July 1, 2013.
